Welcome, I'm Emma.

I am first and forever a student of yoga. Although I have completed the highest level of yoga teacher training and certification in Trauma-Informed yoga, I realize there is much more to learn. I am here as a yoga guide - to teach what I have learned along the way and to help others transcend beyond their self-imposed limitations. Students discover their authentic self (Atma) and inner state of bliss (Ananda) through correct alignment and flowing with their breath. The authentic self appears by moving through time and space with complete presence in the here and now, with complete proprioceptive and interoceptive awareness.

Yoga has the power to transform body and mind. There is a yoga practice suitable for everyone at whatever point in life. What I teach is Vinyasa, Yin, and Trauma-Informed Restorative yoga. I take inspiration from Bhakti, Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Hatha. However, I take the greatest inspiration from nature. I take yearly solo retreats to my grandmother's home in Boca De Iguanas, Mexico - and being immersed in the wild nature surrounding that area strengthens my intuition as my mind and body attune to the vicissitudes of the tide.

Yoga transcends beyond the mat into the embodiment of the practice itself. Strength replaces fear, understanding replaces judgment, and life is filled with more ease and profound peace. Building a strong and flexible body is congruent with mental resilience, and becoming light in yoga is congruent with being light in spirit.

“Knowing others is intelligence;

knowing yourself is true wisdom.

Mastering others is strength;

mastering yourself is true power.”
