Baking ritual: Infusing creativity and an intention to nourish into the process adds to the creation of a delicacy.

What brings you joy?

“Being a mom, the sunshine, hikes, flowers, herbs, painting, and making stuff with my hands."


For what purpose do you make your cakes? "I wanted to make cakes that are medicinal and ceremonial that people can indulge in but feel nurtured by beauty and healing properties of food."


How has being an artist influenced your baking?

"To trust my intuition and flow freely with my aesthetic, to go all in decorating and not try to do anything in the box. "


What ritual do you have when making your cakes? "Ideas for cakes and flavor combinations come to me but I search the earth, my garden, and the local farmers market for inspiration and sometimes it will be totally different than what I planned initially - different rituals for different occasions such as birthdays or equinoxes." How do you envision your cakes nourishing others?

"I want people to feel the effects of a ceremonial cake made with intention and love like they can float on a cloud of the history of cakes and all the joy a cake can bring."


"I don’t use a lot of sugar- I make sure its 100% natural, organic - I use raw intentional dairy products from local sources, even down to the stoneground made in California flour I use. Most of the sweetness comes from fruits or jams I make to put inside them. I use herbs that have healing properties and adaptogens that add to the over all essence of what Im trying to bring in the cake."
